Do I just send in my previous score and have the test center directly mail my new score to them? Will they still look at my new score if it arrives to them?
Or, would they not wait and just use my previous score?

i also have another question... If you apply early decision and you get in, are you really inclined to go to that school??? I mean, I heard that if you can't afford it financially, you can back off.

some colleges tie you in and say that if you get accepted, you must withdraw all of your other applications and all this stuff

but some colleges have early decision (i'm not sure if it's still called that in this case... maybe early application [EA?] or something like that) that let you apply early for scholarship purposes but don't tie you down to their school if you get accepted to it

when you report your ACT score(s) to colleges, how do you do it?
my high school has my scores already. do they include it in the official transcript? or do i need to have my score sent directly from the testing center?

when you register for the ACT you can list up to four colleges to receive score reports of that test date at no additional charge. But, listing those colleges and your HS defeats the purpose of Score Choice. To utilize score choice fully, you should list no colleges nor your HS. That way you get to see scores first, before they go out. But, for October testing and ED/EA, it's probably better to list the early colleges to recive score reports.

Re: scores on your HS transcript....some colleges will accept them from a transcript, but most colleges want official score reports directly from teh testing agency.

btw: this can also be a no-no since it's a confidentiality issue. Collegeboard clearly states on its website (haven't looked myself, but read on cc) that high schools should NOT list test results on the HS transcript since test scores are personal info. (Of course, this means more money for CB.)
