So I’ve sent Michigan many scores, 32 being my highest composite, but I think the October test will be my best one. I was told previously on CC that the October ACT would likely be considered in my application. Will this still be true if the scores are delayed 1-2 weeks?
You need to use the Michigan website or call/email Michigan directly especially for deadline information. This is plainly on their website stating Oct. Act scores won’t get there in time for the November 1 deadline. https://admissions.umich.edu/apply/freshmen-applicants/requirements-deadlines
Just send the score when it’s available. It will be used in RD if you are deferred. Many are deferred anyway…
Ok, I’m just hoping I don’t get outright rejected
Does Michigan ever outright reject in the EA round? I don’t know anyone who wasn’t deferred.
BTW instate 32 is great. What’s your unweighted grades and how did you show interest in the school. Applying EA is one way.
I hope so, I have heard they defer a lot of people
From Minnesota, 4.0 on Michigan Scale, aka just As and a few A-s, and I toured. I’ve been sending my test scores since March, and I have a 750 on both Math 2 and physics if that matters
Nice. You seem competitive based on that but OOS is tough at Michigan.
Keep us updated.
It’ll likely get there when they evaluate your EA application. Michigan clearly states that your Oct scores will be added to your application when they are received.
“If you have previously taken the ACT or SAT and are taking the test again in October, we strongly recommend that you send in your previous scores to ensure that the scores are received in time to complete your application. Once your October tests have been received, we will add the new information to your application.”
Ok sounds good
