First off, who's taking the test tomorrow like me?

Second, anybody know if getting an 11 our of 12 on the writing and a 31 on the english section, actually equates to getting a 31 writing/english score? It seems to score that high you would get a higher writing/english score, rather than the same thing as JUST your english. That's what happened to me.

Third, is the science portion of the test really moe like a puzzle than anything? You don't need to know all of the science concepts, just the ability to solve the "puzzles?"

How many people have scored at least two whole points higher on their second try? I have a 27 for my first try, I'm hoping for at least a 27 because I am applying to Cornell U because the film program there seems pretty excellent. I have awesome recs (trust me) and my essays will most likely be wonderful too. My high school sucks in terms of ECs and class selection (I have to go to another school for two AP classes each day), so I'm hoping they can look beyond that fact.

So, five point increase... and I can't say I prepared TONS, but I did do a lot of practice tests and I'm overall smarter than I was last February, you know?

I'm almost thinking about doing standby testing tomorrow just to see if I could raise it any - I honestly think my reading score could improve, and even possibly math and science. Huh. Anyone think it's worth a shot? I'd do it without writing... so I might be wasting $40 or so... but, I dunno. I'm tempted.

Well then I guess sacrificing an elite education and high income bracket potential so I can be cool is the way to go. Tell that to our starting strong safety who scored a 32 and got a football scholarship to Ohio State.

yeah but your starting safety who scored a 32 is probably one of 5,000 to do that. You have to know that only a few ''cool'' ppl actually score high.
