**October ACT Thread**

I solved the matrix problem by putting the two matrices into my calculator and picking numbers for the x- and y-variables.

thats a little time consuming.. which was was right

It probably took me less than a minute. And it definitely would have taken me more time to think it through.

when do the results come out?
and
did you all finish math section in time?
my proctor did not give us a 5 minute warning so i could not bubble in all the answers- is it mandatory for her to give 5 minute warning?

was it sang or sung???

and was the first one "no change"

Both in English...

what was the answer to the last reading one.. I had to guess didn't get to see it... guessed b/g

I think I said sung. Do you remember the context it was in?

Haha, I did the matrix problem mentally then checked with calculator (yeah, a waste of time, but I was not too worried about this section...)

English: easy
Reading: was being dumb so I had to fill in the last 3 at the last second
Mathematics: really easy, hopefully no careless mistakes
Science: okay I guess
Essay: not as good as it should have been, but okay I guess...

I know little about how hard the ACT really is though...

Anyone know where I can find a chart (online, of course) for the conversion between section raw to section composite? (any one will do, but the more up to date, the better =D). I did not take practice tests or any preparation like that (I just read up on the format of the ACT) so I am unsure on how they grade it ("curve" like the SAT or what?). Thank you. Anyways, as always, take care and have a nice day!

-- TheEvenPrime2

that was why it was difficult...

It was before a comma...

I put sang

Maybe I put sang. Can you try to come up with the sentence?

i put sang... . i forget why

who or whom?

<paraphrased> "The turkeys were freaking out and i know little kids like lullabyes sung to them and maybe the turkeys like weird people like me to sing to them, I ____, yadda yadda yadda"</paraphrased>

something like that...

Then I put sang.

And the answer to the other question was "who," not "whom."

I put who...

and was it a colon both times or was it the semicolon?

I know I used at least one colon, but I don't think I ever used a semicolon.

there wre 2 colons i remember

wild turkey, though

Yep, I said to omit the "wild turkey."

and does anyone know the matrix answer?

i put the one with X^2 in it... b/g maybe??

did it ask you if you could omit the wild turkey?

I did the matrix problem by calculating the upper-left and bottom-right elements of the product matrix using quick dot products. That took like 10 seconds and singled out one of the answer choices. I can't remember what it was, though.

does anyone know for sure the answer to the rectangle w/ the diagonals question on math?
