**October ACT Thread**

That's what I thought!

For the artist one I got the singular artist answer (Which I guess would be artist's). I chose this because it said A work of art. So, for parallel structure and a better overall flow, I put an artist's.

I put charm.

Sang or sung? As I...????

Sang, I think

I put sang.

Maybe I didn't do as bad on the English section as I thought...

i think its artist's since it referred to a "piece of art", which is singular

I put "sang" as well because I thought "sung" was past perfect, or something like that.

I think the answer is sang, though I'm not quite sure....

man what a waste of money. i felt confident with both the writing and math, but man the science really stumped me this time. reading was just not enough time, but overall should have been considered a normal test.

God, the english section was so g**. There were so many questions on word choice. I didnt knw the meanings for 3 or 4 of them...

Everyone is saying that the English section was sooo easy, but I thought it was difficult. The first passage is what slowed me down. I made a 28 and 27 the last two times I have taken the English test, and I was hoping for a 31, but looks like my hopes were shot down! W/E

why did the author say the lotus was pure?

IIRC, it was because it keeps itself clean while it is in a nasty environment? Something like that...

I said it was "to begin to discuss how the lotus flower overcomes its environment" or something like that.

yea, i thinks thats what i put.

does anyone know for sure the answer to the math question with the rectangle and its diagonals? Some people have been saying the top and bottom triangles, and others have said the left and right triangles, but I had no idea. I was pretty sure they were all true.

"I said it was "to begin to discuss how the lotus flower overcomes its environment" or something like that."

Do you remember the other choices? I remember crossing that one out pretty quickly...

Nope :/

I chose that answer because it set up a contrast between the lotus flower and its environment that the remainder of the paragraph elaborated on by discussing how it keeps itself clean in a normally nasty habitat.

Fandangoya
hI 5...I got 66A and 12D 2......bombed it totally....

what about the math cos theta = 1/3, what was cos 2theta
