**October ACT Thread**

cjones32157,

Tourism wasn't even mentioned in the passage. That was a "trick" answer because of everyone's mental image of Coney Island. Only pick answers that are directly supported by the passage.

Math question #46....part of a right triangle was in a circle with unknown radius, you only knew two sides and they were 7 and 7(Sqroot3). You had to find an angle measure...I put 100 degrees, what was it?

i think they were two different questions..

oh god my head hurts from all this, i don't think i improved at all on this test

What was the math problem asking for the least common denominator? I put 90.

Math question with the circle, tangent line and angle was 120 degrees, you got a 30-60-90 triangle and subtracted from 180 to get 120.

120 degress i'm pretty sure...

English -easy
math- what i expected, I guessed on about 15
ready - super easy
science was a beep
essay was wonderful!

on the math I got 120, i think

Yeah i put 90 too for the denominator

I put 90 as well scrib...

Dammit! I can't believe I got that wrong, I'm pretty upset....

Here's to taking it in December again!

yea 120..... and 90 for the common denominator

question about the board thing on math.. 3rd to last i believe?

anyone know the last three answers in science? i ran out of time and put all B/G

Math board question was 18 i believe, i converted everything to inches then divided by the volume of 1 board.

besides the 120 degrees question there was another one that had "not enough info.." was it "not enough info"

nicole07,

I put the one that had (n)^2 at the end. Since each time you're increasing the thickness and cutting the amount you have in half, it has to be squared each time. (At least, it was the only one that worked out on my calculator.)

do you remember which answer choice was 18

For the board thing, was it the one that asked for the area of the grain mat?? I hope it asked for area... All I did was find the area of the smaller board and subtracted it from the area of the larger board (I think the length and width increased by 3).
