I took the act in september of my junior year and got 32. But I didn't take the writing section of it and recently I found out that a lot of college require the writing section if you submit the act. So I have to retake it. My problem is that the first test date offered in my state is october 25th and I can't take it then because I have the regional championships for cross country on that day. Is there any way to take it the day after or before? And if it isnt possible could I take it in a neighboring state even though I'm not a resident?

The September 13, 2008, test date is available only in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.
^^that's what it says on the ACTSTUDENT.ORG site. Idk about taking it another state, but you probably could.

You CAN take it a day after!

If you don't live close to a Sept date area, there's always another option.

You can tell ACT that you can't take it on Saturdays anymore because of your religion. They'll let you take in on the day after.
It's lying, and I would feel terrible after telling them that, but you gotta do whatcha gotta do!

It's only a suggestion!!
