Hi, I'm looking to retake the SAT I in Oct. and 2 subject tests in Nov.

Would these scores come back on time for applying ED? Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking to retake the SAT I in Oct. and 2 subject tests in Nov.

Well, it depends on the deadline of the schools, you know? If the ED deadline is, say, November 1, then november scores are unlikely to be counted. Whereas if the ED deadline is, oh, December 1, then maybe.

this is what it says on CB:

Note: Scores from the October and November SAT administrations are sent by two-day priority delivery to colleges for Early Decision/Early Action (ED/EA) program consideration. Most colleges accept October and November scores for ED/EA programs. Please check with specific colleges to understand when SAT scores need to be received to meet application deadlines. Additional score release dates will be provided in late summer.

Hmm, well I am planning to apply ED to Cornell, and I found this from Cornell's website:

"Plan to take the SAT before November of your senior year, or the ACT no later than October, if you will be applying early. Early-decision applicants are also strongly urged to take the SAT Subject Tests no later than November, because the scores are used in the colleges' early decision selection process."

When it says "no later than November," that means that I CAN take it in November, am I right?

Someone please clarify on this, much thanks.

Anyone? Please and thank you.

October--YES ITS OK!

November--YOU ARE PROBABLY SCREWED!

This is the guidline I've heard for all of the schools where you have to apply in november. Schools for in december or later is probably ok.

But either way they'll see it on RD if you get deferred.

Based on Cornell's website, I'd say November should be fine. Contact Cornell to be sure, and if you do in fact send November scores, make sure you follow up and check that Cornell actually receives them! I sent Nov scores to Penn, and found out about 2-3 weeks before decisions were to come out that the scores had been lost in transit, so I was scrambling to get another copy out to them (not fun :P)
