@YoohooAddict If you think you can get a higher score by the next test date, go for it. What do you have to lose? You’ll only increase your chances of getting accepted at schools that way.

Reading + Writing: 720(R: 5 incorrect, omitted 1 :(, W: 3 incorrect)
Essay: 7, 7, 7
Should I redo anyway? Hoping to get into top college.
@newuser10 since you’re only a sophomore I think you should retest as junior. Why the heck did you omit a question instead of randomly guessing? My DS took the SAT as a Sophomore in March with the same score as you and retook it with more prep and was able to increase his score significantly.
@slaudsmom - Check the requirements for schools your daughter is interested in; some require ACT with writing, others do not. If they do require writing, she might want to sit for ithe ACT again regardless of whether or not she needs a confirming SAT.
@3scoutsmom I thought i answered every question, but I must have erased one of them on accident. Should I retest at the beginning of junior year?
If I was you mom I’d ask you to retest but only if you are able willing to spend some time prepping over the summer. If National Merit is important to you, you’ll actually be prepping for the PSAT and SAT at the same time.
D21 took the Oct 1 SAT too, boy she got killed on writing and reading. 580 on reading/writing and 680 on math.
She omitted 14 questions on reading by running out of time, missed 4 of the 34 she answered.
Writing she omitted 13 questions, missed 2 of the 29 she answered
Math omitted 9 and got all the rest correct.
She worked all problems until they told her to stop. She did not guess on any

I’m surprised at how my essay was scored! I got an 8, 7, 7 on this one, but I thought my essay was not very good. There was a lot of repeating the document, so I suppose that was what they were looking for. The first time I took the new SAT, I got a 7, 6, 6 on the essay, and I felt more confident that time around.
Overall:1400 720 Math 680 Reading 888 Essay. Was really surprised about the essay score. 
Got an overall 1280. Is this a good score? Any chance I can raise it to a 1350 next time?
Hey Guys, I gave the MakeUp SAT for the October since my test center got closed.
Math: 760 , R&W: 680 , math curve was really harsh but the test was super easy so expected it.
@newuser10 @3scoutsmom I am also a sophomore, and that score matches mine exactly (although with a different breakdown)! How funny :0

Ok so IMO I thought the test was HARD!!! Especially the reading section! The reading section was abysmal!! Like it was so much harder than the practice ones… But the Math and Grammar were fine…Except for the last question on the math calc… it was like a probability question… if anyone knows the answers message me NOW!!(I put 0% but I doubt it’s right) lol but yeah I thought it was hard given the environment I was in (soo many noises and distractions) and then there was the 5th section (I think it was for people who didn’t take the essay) which was also kinda hard… lol my proctor didn’t even know about it… some kid found it in the back of the book 
Yeah I saw that too! It was the last question (38) on the math-calc section… it was the probability question…
