October SAT and early colleges

Can I wait and see what my october scores are before sending them to my early action schools, like MIT?

I would email the school to find out. Some schools allow for scores to be sent after the deadline if it’s for October, while others do not, so I would check on their policy. You may also need to rush them.

Depends on the school, but for the most part (for the schools that I have been looking at), schools with a November 1 deadline are willing to take the October SAT scores. Sometimes you have to “pre-order” the test results to be sent to schools (agreeing to have the scores sent before you get your scores back). This year, scores come out on October 30th, so colleges are afraid you won’t have enough time to check the scores and get them sent before the admissions deadline if you don’t do the “pre-order”

But again, check with the school. Each policy will vary.
