No spoilers please :) Did Direct Hits help you guys on the October SAT? Did it help you tremendously or only a little bit. Thanks.

Tremendously!!!

anyone else?

Well, I had 3500 words from Barron’s that helped me Voluminously! I bet you will find A LOTS of words, just reiterated in both books!

Direct hits alone would not have helped much, but combined with my existing vocabulary, it helped tremendously in elimination.

Direct Hits was very helpful on this SAT. There weren’t as many direct hits, but many of the words from DH helped to eliminate possible answers

I used DH2010 and I have to say, this was the smartest decision I made regarding anything SAT. This is THE book for SAT vocab.

I used the DH 2011 editions this year and they were tremendously helpful. On the SCs, there were a number of correct answers and I was able to answer many questions by knowing the meaning of the wrong answer choices. I was really surprised how much vocabulary was in the reading questions. DH really helped me there too.

It helped me immensely. :)

Praise God for Direct Hits!

Helped me, though not immensely (on international SAT).

anyone have like a direct hits link ?

penchant
eclectic
antipathy
munificent
intractable
dilatory

just some words on the CR section that I remember from the test that DH had in their books

I think it helped me tremendously

DH was a HUGE help. Key SC hits include ECLECTIC, PROLIFIC, INIMICAL, CIRCUMSPECT, ERRONEOUS, and DIFFIDENT. Still working on the Critical Reading passages. Definitely lots of hits.

Ahaha Direct Hits (both vol.'s) is all I need on SATs. I either know the correct choice immediately, or I have learned enough from DH, to elinate 3/4th’s of the choices. Usually I get the answer, or I’m left with a 50% chance (rare).

I just WISH precocious was in direct hits.

Arthua - precocious is in the DH 2011 edition vol. 1 in the example for word #123 - prodigy.

guys is there a link for directs hit that you can share. please!

Direct Hits was pretty good in narrowing words, but it didn’t have as many ‘hits’ as I would have imagined.

I knew only first volume and 15-20 words from second, I failed s.c.
