October SAT literature subject test

wait really @underbiz101

that’s honestly so messed up

Wow, I thought that comment was just to mess with us, but you are 100% right. Wow. That is really messed up.

EDIT that thread is really nice to read, though… based on what they wrote there, I think I have all the same answers as the person with an 800 put, so now I’m at least hopeful that I didn’t completely bomb it… O.o

^ didn’t it seem like a bunch of people had the same answers at that guy though, and got 600s

yeah…honestly, if I don’t get above a 720 I will just end my life like I had the test twice and college confidential…but anyway, I was actually talking to my lit teacher about the tone of Georgina’s outlook on the party and she said it was def intimidated and scared, not lively music, just because her entire life has been lived as a “dejected soul” around intimidating ad shady furniture. Also the fact that we don’t even know if she finds the music lovely. ALSO, for the question with the Tennyson line “As I breathe adieu” did anyone say this meant “even as I acknowledge that I must go” – something along those lines. I know it began “even as i acknowledge.”

@slights32‌ There were a lot of people with different answers, though, that changed their minds after that person or someone else explained it. I don’t know. I’m hopeful, though. As long as I get above a 700, I don’t really care (I mean, an 800 would be nice, but I’m certainly not expecting anything…)

@underbiz101‌ It’s at that point for me when I don’t even remember 95% of the questions… that sounds familiar, though…

I agree with you. These are the few I remember. I guess for now we can only hope for the best – even with answers and rereading, the test was still quick paced and iffy. I took it in December – I had to reread most passages after forgetting them all anyway

Yeah, I did feel a bit rushed… I finished the ~5 mins to spare and sat there metaphorically twiddling my thumbs, but I wish I’d gone back over the Caesar passage… I checked over everything though and didn’t leave anything blank…

I wasn’t able to finish the last three, so I’m definitely not feeling good about my score, especially after seeing the scores from the December thread :frowning:

Only 9 more days. After looking at the 800 guys answers im hoping for 680+.And ya that is dumb how it was the same as another test. I think they do this for every subject though because some of those spanish questions were exactly the same as past years (and the blue book!). Guess that’s why they don’t realease the score reports.

Just saying I want an 800 lol

Less than four days until scores… I wish the best to all of you~

Quick question while we are waiting for scores. I used Barron’s to study for this test, but does anyone know if I could reuse it to study for AP Lit? Not necessarily with the practice tests but with the review and sample poems/passages in the beginning of the book.

@Elizabeth1315‌ I took AP Lit last year and got a 4 (I didn’t do any studying or prep, though)… I imagine you could, yes. The questions are probably similar in difficulty. The only thing is that you won’t get any practice essay questions with Barron’s… you can probably find some online, though.

<12 hrs

Hhhnnnggg…

Scores are up; I got a 760

720…I called it

800 :)

800 on SAT CR
690 on Lit…

Poetry And Shakespearean literature kill me :(
