October SAT Results Thread

With the October SAT results are only 8 Hours away, I thought I would create a thread for everyone to post their results. Please put down your results in the form:

Total Score: ####
Math: ###
CR: ###
W: ###

I'll edit my original post or create a new thread once everyone is done with charts and info about the scores, including averages, means, median and standard deviation.

Good luck on the results, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

average and mean are the same thing. guess you missed that math question;)

^actually, average is an umbrella term for both mean and median.

^ Only at CC

@coolpillow i disagree [Average | Define Average at Dictionary.com](<a href=“Average]Average Definition & Meaning | Dictionary.com”>Average Definition & Meaning | Dictionary.com)

Actually, it depends on who you ask :)

===
In mathematics, we normally consider average as the sum of all values divided by the number of values added. Strictly speaking, it is the ‘arithmetic mean’, or simply referred to as the ‘mean’. The mean is almost considered synonymous with average, but statisticians will definitely disagree, because, in essence, mean is only a form of describing an average.

An average can be described in many ways. Aside from expressing it as the mean of the sample, it can also be given as the median or the mode.

Median is the central point of the set. In statistics, it is usually the number that occurs in the middle of a set of numbers. A description of the average can be in the median, some of the time, if it is considered as the most suitable way to describe the central tendency of a particular sample.

lol we’re doing this stuff right now in stats. i see your argument.

Mean = Average
Median = Middle #

Middle # can be the average SOMETIMES

Average doesn’t = Median
As not true for all cases

jk idc trolololol

^^^^^^ Not srs with logic so don’t try to prove I’m wrong ^^^^

I was wondering what sort of person would post this thread early.
