RANT:
-First of all, no way my essay was a 10, hell no. if just one grader gave me a 6, then i'd have 800.
-second of all, why am I arguing that?! -1 and 10e should be 800 anyways!
-math was not easy. -1 should've been 780, no way that was a typical -1 = 770 test.
-CR...i had -4 or -5. so, i'm guessing -5 because if -4 was 740 then that would be the worst curve in history. BUT, even -5 = 740 falls under the 'easy' test category (http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf) ......this CR section had probably the most subjective question in SAT history (probably did v. probably did not) and it was not easy. it was definitely a medium test (where -5 = 750-770)

I blame CB fully. This should've been a 2330 at worst. And 2300 feels so inferior to even 2310. Maybe that's just my mindset but I would've been thrilled with even 2320 and 2330 would've been more than satisfying.

If you feel like I do post a little rant under. I feel like I got robbed of 30-50 points.

Viggy, if I were you I would be jumping up and down with happiness. 2300 is amazing.

I got a lousy 2000. I know it was my practice round but I am still so incredibly mad at myself. It makes me feel as though I will do badly on the subject tests in november, and no better on the SAT I in december. How on earth am I supposed to increase my score by 200+ points in one month? This is absolutely awful. I can just feel my dreams slipping away. I am not going to get anywhere.

CR: 620
M: 670
W: 710 (essay was a stupid 9)

I know, I know. I didn’t mean to start anything by this thread! That was just me randomly venting on here instead of with friends because none of my friends at my HS took the SAT! lol So just ignore the rant and let’s use this thread to share our happiness, sadness, or contentment. :D

So, no more flaming, etc. This is just a thread for the Class of 2015 (or maybe even juniors writing) to post their scores, discuss, etc. This is just something for us Canadians.

CR - 740
M - 730 (Was getting 800s on practice)
W - 690 (8 Essay) (Was getting 750+ consistently)

Just choked. 2160 composite, good enough for Duke but not a sure thing. Gonna be tough to get in and now I’m gonna have to piggyback my URM status a little.

^yea, most people improve on the real thing but I’m in the same boat as you. I seem to do worse on test day than on practice tests. Frustrating when we know we can do better. I wish we could show colleges our practice tests ahah.

@powebomb, actually, I believe that once you get to around 2340 it stops mattering…I think 2300 is indeed considered and viewed as worse than anything under 2340-2350. Basically, I think that improving to 2340-2350 would help ones chance’s.

Congratulations on your score ViggyRam! You definitely deserve it. And I know how you feel: My Bio score’s been annoying me since yesterday despite my decent scores in Math and Lit. But there’s always retakes, eh? Good luck with admissions!

Thanks everyone! BUT, this thread isn’t about me ahah. Post your scores if you took October SATs. We’re here together as Canadians ahaha, this is our little SAT zone.

@Viggy: pat yourself on the back first. It’s a fine score! However, I share your sentiments…W curve is just bad… 78 MC+ 10 E = 790!!!. Usually that’s an 800… :(

CR is definitely not that easy either to warrant a harsh curve. But the trend I’ve been noticing from the released curves of recent administrations is that the curves are getting worse and worse =/

The Lit test is definitely difficult. I think I’ll be retaking it in November in place of Physics, which works because I’m currently not ready for the physics subject test at all I’ll be postponing it to December.

Same! I got a 2300, but I’m not complaining. I kinda wanted to break 2300 though :/. I don’t think it’s worth taking again. sry Im not Canadian lol

Oh jeez I am taking my Math I test and Bio test on saturday and I am so worried! I just have a feeling that I wont get the scores I want. I have been studying so hard for them and it just feels like it wont pay off. ugh.

And I know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know anything about standby registration? Will international schools allow this/will they have the necessary registration forms that I need?
