I heard the October SAT I has the harshest curve out of all the SAT I testing dates. Supposedly, it's because all of the seniors are taking it for the last time or something. Is this true? If so, how bad is it? Are the questions harder as well?

I was wondering about this because I'm planning on taking it in October.

Yes I heard a lot of those.
"January is the easiest because you are competing with non-seniors"
"March is the easiest since none of those nerds from Asia take the test"
But they're never proven, and I think the curve varies every year.

I also heard that the College Board sets the curve boundaries before the test is even administered. Is this true, or do they compare the performance of all the test takers before determining the curve? If the curve is relative to overall performance from the test takers, it would seem that the latter would be the case.
