Anyone been admitted that has a sent in a recorded audition? We could not afford the travel.

D was accepted and her audition was recorded, so yes, sort of…I think. She did a combined audition for MT and VP at her school, but there was an OCU voice faculty member there to record the audition and he then shared the recording with the MT faculty. Not sure if this is counted as a live or a recorded audition, but only one faculty heard her audition live. She had also done OCU’s summer MT program a few years ago, so they had heard her live back then, just not recently… Also, our oldest D is currently a music student at OCU (not MT), and she was accepted several years ago based on a dvd recording she had mailed in, and she had not previously worked with anyone nor met anyone in their music program. Not sure if this info helps, but I wish you all the best!

ATLAST, Thank you for your reply. I do believe auditioning in person is an advantage. Recording can lose some of the connection. We shall see how it all turns out. This waiting is torture.
