Odd College Apps Question

This is a strange question, but here goes:
I was admitted to Harvard EA this year, and I was quite pleasantly surprised. I was very frustrated when I first submitted my application because I had forgotten to include a relatively prestigious national award that I had won because the fonts on my computer got messed up and cut it off and I only realized about a week and a half before decisions were due out-- long story, but anyway...it all turned out well in the end but I am wondering: is it at all possible that the admissions officers found out about this award some other way and took it into account in my application? It was in several newspaper articles and even came up in a Google search of my name; also I think 6 other students receiving the same award applied EA to Harvard, so they too may have submitted documentation, etc. that would also have had my name on it. In short my question is this: would admissions officers take this kind of thing into account in their decision even if it wasn't in my original application or are they strictly limited to considering only what is explicitly stated in the application material?

bump::::::

i dont think you should care about that too much....you got into havard....i think they would have known if the award is like on national tv...

Yes, I realize that but its one of those curiosity things- would admissions officers evaluate you on something that wasn't actually in your app, and just give you the benefit of the doubt?
