odd results

<p>i got the regents scholarship at ucla, but was waitlisted at caltech and rejected by stanford. can anyone explain why i might be in the top 100 of 40000 applicants to ucla, in the top 600 or so at caltech, but not in the top 2000 of 20000 at stanford? i'm fine with going to ucla, i'm just curious.</p>

<p>If you want random, I got into Stanford, UCLA and UVa Echols but not Berkeley.</p>

<p>yea it is really random..i was accepted to Stanford, UCLA, and Berkeley...but rejected from Cornell..though, people on the Cornell board thought me to be pretentious when I was a bit befuddled, just like you fussballspieler, by this turnout. </p>

<p>u think thats weird. i heard a friend of mines got a scholarship from USC back in december.. a week ago he got a rejection letter from USC!</p>

<p>Three weeks after I started a job with a large company, I got a postcard from my employer saying "We have received your resume. While we do not have any openings that match your background, we will keep your resume on file for six months in the event of a future opening."</p>

<p>LOL! Someone here got into Harvard, but was rejected by Berkeley.</p>
