Hi there, I've been researching colleges for good part of this summer so I can begin my college visits. I am an upcoming high school junior aspiring to major in some sort of science and trying to enroll in med school. I came across Boston University, and was wondering what the overall atmosphere of the college was. I am pretty confident I can be admitted, but due to the distance (live in Texas), I thought I should ask about this school and see how it was before taking steps towards visiting it. Any advice on admissions, college life/dorms, or anything regarding Boston U is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you like a true campus, you won’t like BU. It’s sprawls along Commonwealth Ave, with an above-ground subway line running right up the middle of campus. Now, if you like being in a great city, you’ll love BU’s location. Lots of school spirit revolving around hockey, no football, mid-major basketball.

Thanks MADad!

I didn’t know about the subway line. I would like to attend school in a big city, but I’m not too sure on the whole “sprawls” deal. I guess I’ll do some research

I’m a current BU student from Texas, pm me if you have any questions.
