Hope you guys can spare some time and help clear my mind, i had a great interview that went an hour and a half because the woman and i got along so well, if that helps at all. Please throw me a bone, it'll be much appreciated.

i think you have a really good chance, you have some nice hooks... the three languages thing is awesome, tufts will love that.

how did your interview go? mine is in a week although I applied ED1 (a little late, i know). What kind of questions did they ask, etc?

it was just basics, the lady who interviewed me just seemed to want to make sure i had explored all my options since tufts was my first choice, that i wasn't retarded, and that i would be able to better the tufts community. If you can get them talking about themselves a little bit, get them to brag about how great they are, you'll be sitting pretty. I just don't know how much the interview matters anyway....

Taylorbaijon:

Your SAT I scores are not fabulous but yoru SAT IIs might make up for them. What's yoru class rank? It matters how you compare to your peers.

we don't rank....somewhere in the top decile apparently though

You have a shot at getting in, especially due to the fact that you applied ED and think you did a good alumni interview. At worst, you'll be deferred and have another shot in the RD pool. Good luck, Taylor!

do you have any idea what percentage get deffered compared to those who are accepted, and what percentage of those deffered actaully get in eventually?

That's a good question. From personal experience only -- everyone I know who applied ED to Tufts either got in or rejected. This is not a school like, say, Georgetown, where everyone who applies EA gets in or deferred, and no one is rejected. So I feel that the few people who get deferred, have a very good chance of getting in the second time around since the admissions committee has already weeded out most of the people they certainly want to reject. It's too bad there are no stats re: deferral on the admissions website.

thanks for the responses, you've really calmed my nerves for what it's worth, if i don't make it into tufts my choices really fade, i set up my whole application to go there. But seriously, thank you for your time, it is much appreciated.
