SBMom,
Congratulations... so happy for you and your D!

Delighted to hear the good news, SBMom! Bet the celebrating is still going on at your house!

SBMom,
Huge congratulations!!!! The best to you and D!

You guys are great. :)

Thank you, all of you, for your support and enthusiasm.

Good job and many congratulations. Man, that has to feel goood. Time again for a steeping bath and a book. The hard work is done.

Congratulations, SBmom! This is a moment to cherish, and I also think that the joy and pride and relief of seeing your child overcome difficulties to get something she really wants will stay with you for a long time.

In my own case, I just visited my freshman daughter at college for her 19th birthday, and kept contrasting the way she is now--confident, engaged in her work and her friends, and the happiest I've ever seen her--to the way she was a year ago (discouraged and then some). It's so hard to see our kids doubt themselves, but really wonderful to watch them come through on the other side.

Congrats SBMom to your DD!!! Enjoy this wonderful wonderful time!!!

And did you mention shopping??? Just think of all the stuff she needs...........

Kat

:) :::::SLUGGHUGGS!!!:::::::WOOO-HOOOO!::::: :)
Splurge! Get some XL-twin sheets from Garnet Hill! Celebrate! Congrats to you & your D!

Thanks for all the kind words.

Poster is on wall, sticker is on car. All is right with the world. :)

WEE HEE! WOO HOO!

That sigh of relief came through loud and clear! Congrats all around...

SBMom:
Enjoy the feeling.... and congratulations as well.

Congratulations! I am sure you and your D are now enjoying the happy dance!

Dang, it DOES feel good to dance around with your kid when good news comes!!

CONGRATS!!! A great decision is a BIG RELIEF. Don't forget the thermal foam pad for the mattress - she's got to keep up on her beauty sleep.

Yet another set of congrats to your D and to you!

The "sigh of relief" is so right!! It is as though I've been holding my breath for 6 months and just got to exhale...

I think parents can be even more stressed than kids. We can see from the outside what a shaping influence the right school environment can be, how important fit can be... She would have been really hapy at the safety schools. Thanks to good advice from friends whose kids are older, I was 100% successful in promoting a "love thy safety" attitude, but inside I was really, really hoping for one of her top choices to come through.

Now I can transfer all my nervous anticipation to the rest of the CC kids & parents out there awaiting RD decisions. I hope all of you/your kids get the schools you really, really want. :)
