Ode to the joys of owning a car.

ode to the joys of owning an Enzo Ferrari

no, i don't own one, yet.

Odes to the joy of driving a manual transmission in hilly downtown :</p>

Ode to the joy of driving a 2000 Chrysler minivan...
And I don't know where in NY piccolojunior lives, but my doors have frozen a ton this winter. It probably doesn't help that winter in central NY is freaking cold and snowy and my doors freeze really easily.

^I highly doubt that piccolojunior drives at all...especially since he feels the need to mention his "Lexus" in every post he's made in this thread.

Oh man, frozen doors are so common here--I live in Alaska...

The other day neither of my doors would open, so I had to crawl in through my car to avoid being late to school. My neighbor was laughing at me. As I drove off, though, I noticed his car wouldn't start so I didn't feel too awkward.

I don't have my license yet, but I do have a permit. The car I have right now remains in storage over the winter (b/c it's a collector car), and I'll probably end up with an m3 once I get my license at 17.

the car doors freeze all the time here too.

Oh man, the last ice storm...I couldn't open my side door for a week. '95 Jeep. I can take on the big stuff.

haha frozen cars? lmao...I'm glad I live in LA. I have a 2006 Civic and it's pretty much L337. 30/40 EPA fuel efficiency...can't beat that without driving some homotional hybrid

GAH! Kills self

Ooo. And I have an '05 Kia. And like I said. It freezes. Oh well.. It only got really bad frozen once, and I Had to get my stepdad to come open the door. Could only get the passenger side door open, had to climb through to start it. Then after a bit I could open the driver's side..

Joy!

License plate DHR- ah **** it, I really dont care if you dont believe me lol.

It was 70 where I live today.

Oh to the joys of having a vw in the South where it doesn't freeze.
And oh to the joy of having a car during mardi gras and being able to drive myself this year! Greatest mardi gras EVER.

I honestly can't remember how horrible it was to not have a car (no busses to school here) (I've repressed the memories they were so bad).

Lol, wow I'm glad my car door has only frozen once.

However, it was really bad when it was in the single digits because the light switch (the thing that keeps the light off when car doors are closed) was frozen and didn't register that the car door was closed so all the lights would randomly come on and I had to hold my hands over the lights so I could see at night. Then I'd have to lean over (it is the front passenger door) and pull the door shut to trigger the light switch.

Gah I'm so glad it's warmer. Not that 20 degrees is warm lol.

Frozen doors=why I park in the garage.

I hate how as soon as I got my license, my mom constantly makes me drive everywhere to get things and drive her around.

^ Haha, mine does too, but considering she pays for my gas and insurance...I figure it's a very small price to pay for being able to drive myself places.

My car is disgustingly dirty from all the snow/slush we've been having lately...it really doesn't help that my car is white :P

CDN_dancer, I'm in the same position as you, but I hate having to get a full tank of gas 2x a week.

Ah, yeah, that would be pretty annoying. I can usually go 1.5-2 weeks on one tank so it's not too bad.

Well if you live in Canada, gas is only like a dollar there, so you're pretty lucky...

^^

Gas in Canada is measured by the liter. Right now, the average in Canada is about 105 cents per liter, according to this site. There are approximately 3.78 liters in a gallon. Do the math, bud. Gas is not a dollar in Canada! ;-)

Or maybe you've just realized that posting a random license plate number won't do anything to prove your story.
