I want to apply to GW ed, and i plan on taking 7 AP classes and 2 honors classes. With extracurriculars such as internships, sports, etc, should i take more AP classes or will these 7 suffice?
For any college, there is a law of diminishing returns after a certain # of AP classes (6-8, IMO), meaning that additional AP classes will not make an application more competitive. It’s not a case where the one with the most APs wins. Now if not taking an 8th AP prevents your GC from rating your transcript as “most demanding,” then it’s a different story.
