Anyone have an idea of how many of the deferred ed students will be admitted this year, even an approximation? I don't even know how many of the 1,000 were deferred (I was one of them). I am just trying to see how my chances fair, anyone else hoping for a deference to turn into an acceptance in the rd round? Maybe admissionsdaniel can give a number on the amount of students deferred this year in the ed round (and maybe approximte acceptance rate for them)?

They usually accept about 10% of the deferred applicants.

First, we will accept students who were deferred ED. At this time there is no way to tell how many. In the past we have had an ED defer acceptance rate of about 10%, but with the applicant pool this year and the drop in overall acceptance rate we can not confirm that will be the same rate this year.

Though this number really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but just under 400 students were deferred this year from the Early Decision applicant pool.
