any1 know the avg percentage that even fell into the criteria for those programs??

Like if of 1000 aplicants , 900 got rejects... how many of the 900 usually don't even have qualifying criteria for the programs aka gpa, sat, research, med experience
/?
?
?

I think that would be very difficult to figure out because for one, all the programs have different requirements, two, not all the people who got rejected would want everyone to know why, and three, nobody would want to spend all that time trying to figure it out.

well obviously im not talking about the average joe. I am referring to those who are just borderline under the minimum criteria for the programs. There must be many students who are borderline and still apply just to see if they can get in and therefore many of them must be a part of the rejection list. SO i just wanted to know on avg, wat percentage of the students that apply to programs normally arent suited to get in.

Its good info to know. They say 1000 ppl apply to the programs, but of them how many are u really competing agaisnt?? How many actually can compare to ur stats?

i think that stats aren't "extremely" important if you are already borderline. the essays and your commitment to medicine would be considered much more over stats as long as you meet the "minimum" requirements.
