# Of Times Taken

Okay

So I took my first SAT on January 2006. I got a 1820.

I took a couple practice tests between January and today and I did better but not much better

April 1st is coming up and I feel as if I haven't done enough.

Now with April 1st coming up, I only have October left for the SAT (SAT II's in May and June)

So with October left, 3 times taken, is that a bad thing?

What was your breakdown of the scores?

It really depends on how much you've improved and what your goals are. Remember that you have TONS of time between now and October anywayz.

But is taking it 3+ any good?

btw, it was 620 m, 610 w, and 590 cr

Generally, just taking a couple of practice tests does not significantly improve your score. Did you actually study some strategies to help answer the questions?

It's not about number . . . it's about what you do between each test. So if you're doing something better that will improve your score, taking it again is always better.

But is there a limit?

My strategy is to never ASSUME what the other thinks...and to always use support FROM THE PASSAGE

There is no limit, but people tend to not go over 3- there is usually no significant change after that (if one has been studying in between, of course)
