Off-campus apartment housing offer.

If you're looking to live off-campus in an apartment, take a look at this:

Share 2br apartment with gorgeous view

I don't check the board very often, so if you PM me it might take a while for me to get back to you. Best way is to just follow the ad and e-mail me from there.

Wayyyyyy too far

And Albany is a pretty drab place to live. Better live in a nice older apartment than one of those cardboard-like 1960s buildings. As well, the ad boasts about the view but there are no pictures, which is kind of suspicious.

One final tip: rental is a buyer's market in Berkeley in April-June but it gets crazy after that. If you want to live off-campus, better pay for an extra month or two and secure a nice reasonably-priced place early this summer. Don't wait till August!

Jesus, I obviously posted this for people who would be interested in living in Albany, having lived around the east bay in the past 8 years I'd still much rather be in Albany than paying a crapload of money for a crappy place in Berkeley. Each person has his/her likes and dislikes, deal with it and move on. Neither of you guys are even interested so why do you feel the need to crap on the thread?

But yes, this place is most definitely for people who know the area well and know what they are looking for. If you are coming to Cal from somewhere else, then it's better off for you to be near campus so its easier for you to learn your surroundings.

I forgot to take a picture of the view, it's right outside the front door and out of the living room window in one of the pictures, I didn't even remember to take pics during the showing until like the very last second so I snapped a few quickshots. If you want to know what kind of a place it is, drop by the address, it's the 3-story building at the top of the hill you can't miss it. The unit I'm signing is on the 3rd floor, you can go up the stairs and take a look at the view I'm talking about. Two girls are currently living in it now but they'll be out in a couple of weeks and the owner will clean the place up. For all the little details, go ahead and e-mail me and I'll respond to any questions.

CalX, What's suspicious? That I'm gonna magically hypnotize someone into believing there's a view when there isn't? This isn't a "EARN 100K IN A MONTH SITTING AT HOME!!!" type of post, this is a "here's a place I'm renting, here's a BRIEF description, if you are interested, get in touch with me and you'll get whatever details you need." This is also excluding the fact that I'm not some random person who just joined the forum yesterday. Again, I fail to see your point.

P.S. Just in case someone randomly assumes stuff again, if after getting the details you need you're still interested in the place, then I'll put you in touch with the leasing agency and owner and you can check everything out. I just don't see the point of referring every person that comes along because not everyone is gonna stay interested.

Sorry for the harsh review RedTape. This is the kind of place that's not that good in May though. It will look pretty good by August when the crunch sets in. I think right now students can afford to be a little more picky though. Peace.
