Off-Campus Apartments?

Assuming that I get accepted to UT, I'll be needing to find a place to live. I got a buddy of mine that will be going to ACC. We want 2 bed and 2 bath. I've been looking around on Craigslist and online but I'm not too convinced with what comes up. Anybody recommend me an apartment complex to stay? Not looking at spending anything crazy. Close enough to campus is preferred.

If you want to be in West Campus, which is the closest you can get for an apartment, you are looking at around $600-$700 for rent. I would contact someone at 512 Realty or one of those near-campus realty companies, they are great for helping to find places and know all of the best deals.

So freshman can live off campus?

freshman can live on or off campus doesn’t matter.
As an aside from the OP, Can anyone post some good efficiency apartments directly north of campus (near the Engineering buildings) or in West Campus (preferably not near a frat/sorority house) that are withing the 600-700 price range per month. Also specify whether or not it is a 9 month or 12 month lease

VAlonghorngal, would that price be per room or for the entire apartment?

Esteef - Price is per room.

iambored10 - You should probably contact an agent (we’re using Metro Reality) to find an apartment/condo for you. I think they’re free.

iambored, i nabbed an efficiency for 700/mo (abp except elec and internet) between 31st and 32nd street, walking distance to campus and close to engineering/law/etc. i’m not sure whether they have another unit available, but i can pm you the name of the place if you’d like! 12 month lease.
