What are some good places to hang out in Boston? I'm going to go look at a few colleges there and I want to get the full experience. Obviously there will be on-campus hangouts but I'm thinking off campus? Like Newbury street and things of that nature.
Thanks(:

Cambridge is a nice area - Harvard’s there obviously but there are very pretty places to wander, e.g. Harvard Square. Lots of nice restaurants and book shops and places for people young enough to know everything. I think there is, for example, the movie theater where they’ve been playing Rocky Horror for a billion years.

Maybe I’m biased because Cambridge/Boston has some of the most Englishy-looking streets in the US.

my favorite area is definitely the south end. lots of really good places to eat and fun to just walk around and hang out. hit up the best diners in the city there as well by stopping at either mikes or charlies.

cambridge is also nice. check out central square (my favorite of the cambridge squares) and harvard squar

Brighton Ave, West of Boston University. Lots of ethnic restaurants and lots of students.

I don’t know any details, but there are like 20 4-year colleges in the Boston area. You probably can’t beat it for “college hangouts.”
