For off-campus housing, would you say there are more houses or more apartments available? Which of the two are more popular among students?

Need more information from you. Are you a transfer? Are you a resident student freshman to be not offered housing (i.e. commuter?)

Which campus?

I presume you mean Rose Hill, and I also presume you are a transfer student. I suggest you ask Residence Life at Fordham as they may have some good suggestions.

I am more interested in just understanding the layout of student off-campus housing at Fordham. Based on your knowledge, would you say that the students who choose to live off-campus tend to rent houses or apartments?

My d is at RH and her friends who live off campus live in apartments a block or two off campus on the other side of Fordham Road. I don’t know if there would be many entire houses for rent around there, but asking the housing office is probably the best way to get accurate information.

It is probably mixed. Most of my friends off campus (I’m at RH) live in apartments. The apartments are often in houses that have been separated into a few apartments. I agree that calling the housing office may be useful.
