Off-Campus Housing & Winter Admits

How much is it usually for off-campus housing at La Jolla? And how many winter admits are there who are willing to take classes at a cc and get off-campus housing at to attend UCSD? Am I even making the right choice especially if it's so expensive?

Here is the off campus housing website. Hope it helps.

Some of the stuff in la jolla is pretty expensive, but so is room and board on campus. You can move a little ways away from la jolla, where the prices are a bit more reasonable, and still have it be a pretty short commute. I live ~30 miles from ucsd but it takes me only 35 minutes to drive it, yay freeways.

la jolla is actually not that expensive at all if you find the right apartments. a lot of them are convenient because they're within a 2 minute walking distance from the ucsd shuttle stops.

there are plenty of them that go for about $1700 per month, if you split a 2 bed/2 bath among 4 people that's only $425 per month for you. a lot of my friends say that my apartment off-campus is A LOT cheaper than the dorms and there are definitely perks to living off-campus too.

in regards to community college, almost all the winter admits i know took classes and transferred their credits. classes tended to be easier at the cc and if your cc is like mine and on a semester system, you transfer in a LOT of units.
