Off Campus Housing

Hello Everybody !

I’m going to UofA next year (i’m an exchange student from France).
I want to live off campus in an appartment. If I understood well, there are two categories : residences closed to the campus and residences far away from the campus (less expensive and with more facilities).

I’m looking for a residence closed to the campus (all the more so I don’t know if I will buy a car).
However, it’s true that residences far from the campus, like Gateway, looks amazing !

Does it exist a residence closed to the campus, with a beautiful swimming pool, a lively atmosphere, etc ?
What’s your advices ?

Thank you in advance !

Laura

From my experience the places really close to campus aren’t that nice. However, there are some nice apartments that are close enough that you can ride the bus right to campus.

Thank you for your answer
Do you know the name of these apartments ?

Here are a few apartments. I’m sure there are many more.

El Dorado-utilities included
Silverwood Terrace-not as close but very nice and still affordable
Puesta Del Sol-they don’t charge deposits for pets
Briarwood-I think they have a 5% discount for students and a shuttle that takes you to campus if I’m not mistaken
Deerfield Village
Campbell Ranch

Those are some that I looked into when I was planning on living off-campus. I’d go to their websites and call for more information.
