Off campus housing??

Hey!

I recently applied and already sent the lease online (even though im still missing a couple of things for it to be complete) for Wave Z Islander apartment.

Just now I've read that there are lots of complaints by former residents about the management of the place and others.

I do not know if I can or if it is worth it to just call if off and find another place to live for a year. Perhaps I am overreacting to these complaints, but after all, the complex is kinda expensive. Is the place as bad as It seems, or am I wrong? Any advices?

Hmmm can’t really tell you personally but my friend does like living there. Apparently there is a lot of partying at Z-Islander though so it really depends on what you like. My best advice is to try it for a year and if you don’t like it then you can think about changing places.

you need to keep in mind that the people who post reviews usually are unhappy people and they post bad reviews. The happy people rarely review

klparker is right, usually unhappy people review apartments. I currently live at the Lofts on Wolf Pen Creek and I absolutely abhor it. It’s too much of a party environment for me, but it depends on what you like.

Why not live at one of the Callaway dorms? You can’t go wrong there and they are very close to campus.

My D lives at Z Islander and loves it. Top floor over looking the pool. We have had very little complaints. When you’re dealing with college aged renters you’ll going to have complaints. Whenever something is wrong I call and it is fixed ASAP. They lower the rent when you renew your lease and give “bonus” money to use towards rent or electic bill. We had our D at Callaway Villa’s and it was a nightmare. We had to get campus legal involved and they got us out of that lease. No place is perfect. It is what you make of it:)

It’s a nice apartment complex. I’m right next door in Reveille Ranch, and Wave Z is nice. The only thing i’ve heard is that it can be loud at times. It’s kind of known as a party apartment complex, but then, which apartment isn’t considered one. It’ll be good.

I just signed a lease with crossing place. It’s 4 bedroom 2 bath fully furnished with a huge kitchen for like $400 a Month. Plus you only pay electricity, which is no more then $30 a month. They have a pool, gym, and all that jazz. Plus wood floors and they’re putting flat screen tv’s in every unit. Its also gated and has pretty good security. I’m pretty excited for it. It’s really great for the price!

We have a 2 bedroom apartment available on College Main- very close to campus. It is part of a 4 unit complex. PM me if you might be interested.

Random Fact. A plane crashed into Wave Z Islanders Parking Lot. No Joke.
