Off-Campus Housing:))

Hi guys, I was accepted for the Spring to Florida State! I'm excited for the new journey, but I need to know if there are any really great apartments next to FSU to stay in. The housing situation for me is messed up and I won't be able to stay on campus which sucks. I've found one dorm/apartment called Southgate and it seems really cool, but I just want to check all of them out. I definitely need it to be directly next to FSU lol. I intend to walk to campus my first year, and I don't want to have to wake up in the morning and take a meaningless shower because I've hiked to class. Once again, if you know any please tell me, thanks:)

Southgate is a private dorm just across the street from Landis and Gilchrist dorms. Very convenient and has a meal plan. Also check out [Heritage Grove Circle](http://www.heritage-grove.org/). it is an apartment complex partially owned by FSU. You can walk to campus or ride the FSU bus. To be honest, on-campus housing might open up for spring. The year my D was a freshman, there were quite a few empty rooms on her floor come spring term. Some kids bailed out after one term and a few went abroad or just moved off campus.

Another option is one of the student apartment complexes on the FSU bus line <a href=“Home | Transportation & Parking Services”>http://parking.fsu.edu/Seminole%20Express/Seminole%20Express.html</a> and <a href=“Home | Transportation & Parking Services”>http://parking.fsu.edu/Seminole%20Express/SES%20Routes.html</a></p>

Thank you, I appreciate it. It’s hard trying to find the right place especially since i have no clue about tallahassee. Right now, after checking out southgate, Im’ leaning toward Southgate. Its basically the same amount as being in a dorm on campus. I’ll try again for a dorm when spring admits start to get focused on. Right now its mostly fall and summer that are the main focus. But hopefully something does open up. I’ll also look at the other apartments you listed:) One again Thank you so much. I feel like a freshman under major stress lol

How can summer and fall be the main focus when you were admitted for spring? I am confused.

Well I’m saying I’ll wait to ask for housing after the rush of fall admits has settled down. Right now I don’t think FSU knows which dorms are going to be open for spring admits because they don’t know who will stay or leave from the fall admits. That’s why I say I’ll wait for the main focus to get off of the fall admits and for the school to focus more on its spring admits, which will probably start happening around September. Hopefully there is enough room after the fall and I’ll be able to get a dorm!

I got accepted for the spring term also and was told that the chance of getting an on-campus dorm was slim. When touring fsu a couple months ago I saw southgate and ended up signing a lease there. Didn’t wana be out of luck come spring.

Yeah DirtTC, I’m looking at leases for off campus housing now. However, a majority of the apartments are 12 month leases that start in august. So hopefully I find a sublease, but i’m more so leaning towards southgate:))
