<p>My D will be taking classes at Syracuse and interning at one of the local companies. Is it safe to live off-campus near the school, or are there better areas? I am not sure she will have a car the whole time she is up there so she also would need to use the bus system. I have never been to Syracuse so any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>East campus is home to a lot of upperclassmen. The somewhat-run-down houses usually are rented by groups of 3 and 4 and patrolled by security. There are robberies, but as is generally the case, if you’re careful, you’re safe enough.
East campus, for those who don’t know, is the area around Ostrom ave, lancaster, ackerman…those places.</p>
