<p>Do you mean 12th Ave. on the east side of campus? If so east side of campus has so rougher areas.</p>

<p>East of campus on 12th is a rough area… really rough… its a dirty place and always dangerous at night, i’ve had plenty of run-ins with pan-handlers. i never understand y people would move out of the dorms, because there is no nice property around</p>
<p>Personally, I wouldn’t consider East of Campus on 12th “really rough” at all. I wouldn’t want to go wandering around alone at night at all (I’m a female), but don’t worry about your son living there. Further south is where it gets more sketchy - he’s still right across from campus it sounds.</p>
<p>Some properties are better than others. I’ve seen some very nice and well-kept ones and some that are rundown. </p>
<p>It depends how far east he is, as well.</p>
