Off-campus Housing

Hello,

I'm considering pursuing off-campus housing for next year. Any pointers? I know of the International House, Hamilton Court, and the Radian - Any thoughts on these?

Hamilton Court is a dump- at least my kid’s summer apt a few years ago was. Not cheap, either. The air conditioner barely did the job, too. Radian is very nice, but is probably full for next year.

A few of my friends live in HamCo this year… they have no problems with it, but it is a little pricey for the quality of apartments. Look in the DP for some housing ads… landlords want to get leases signed ASAP so are willing to reduce the price, but the most desirable housing units have already been taken.

Radian is badass…especially the 2 floor 4 bedroom apartments

No undergrads live in the IHouse… I don’t suggest living there. It’s mainly grad students I think (only people I knew there were dental students).

The Radian is really nice but all of the singles are taken for next year. If you have a roommate in mind then I’m pretty sure there are doubles, triples, and quads left. It’s pricey (~1100/month, 12 month lease) but it’s safe and nice.

HamCo is alright. I agree with what everyone else has said.

There’s also Chestnut Hall which is right next to HamCo. It’s about the same quality/cleanliness as HamCo in my opinion, not sure about the pricing.
