Off-campus Interview

I have my off campus interview today!! I’m super nervous, but does anyone who has done an interview for GWU have any advice? Has anyone heard about some of the questions? I heard the questions are basic but some are meant to throw you off…

Anything would be helpful; thanks:)

I felt none were designed to throw me off. The admin officer asked me questions about my interests and then followed up on that mostly. They like if you can show a lot of knowledge about the school. Good Luck!

@FutureColonial27 I’m glad it worked out so well for you! Thanks for the tips!

I just finished my interview, and for all of those students who will be interviewing soon, don’t panic!! The questions were straight forward. It started out with questions as to how my day was, and then we delved into about my extracurriculars, my current course load, what I am looking for in a university, and about an experience that changed me as a person. Although, they did not ask questions specific to GW, so I turned some of the questions back around to answer that. Good luck guys!

Does everyone have an interview? I haven’t heard anything yet about scheduling one. Thanks.

@acctchik No, interviews aren’t required. They’re a great tool you can use to both show interest in the school and learn more about it.

How do you schedule one?

@2016senior I went to their website. They have interviews available, where counselors travel to a popular city and they will conduct them there. However, none of these were in my area so I requested an off campus interview. They put me in touch with one of the admissions counselors and we had a phone interview later that month.
