Off campus interviews-questions

Hi all. After doing some college visits earlier in the summer I have decided Hamilton is my top choice. I will be applying ed I. I am a fairly weak applicant, so I am going to rely on reccommendations, essays, and of course the all-important interview to help me. I live in Colorado and doing an on-campus interview is not an option. I have a few concerns:
-Will an off campus interview put me at a disadvantage? Or at least compared to someone who does an on-campus interview.
- I have been lurking around these threads and have noticed that interviews that go particularly well get things in the mail from the interviewer and someone from admissions. Does this "rule" apply to off campus interviews or only on campus ones? This is somewhat related to my previous question.
-I am aware that Hamilton views applications holistically. I don't want to turn this into a full blown chance me, but will a 3.8 weighted gpa and 29 (hopefully soon to be 32+) act be an "automatic rejection"?

Thank you in advance, and good luck with any of your endeavors! :)

Anyone? Anything? Pretty please?

If your ACT score moves up to 32, then you will be in pretty good shape. I would think that an off campus alumni interview would be fine.

Thank you for the response! I will definitely be doing some summer act studying!

Off campus interviews are weighted just as heavily as the on campus ones during the admissions process. Best of luck!!

That’s reassuring. Thank you!

I conduct off campus interviews in the Buffalo, NY area. As far as I know, they weigh just as much. Although having visited the campus certainly puts you in the radar of Hamilton and shows that you’re a serious applicant.
