Off-campus locations for accepted student days?

In that email (the epic email everyones currently freaking out over, me included), it said something about there being 13 offcampus locations for the accepted students days. I called nyu, and they said that they had two of those days in texas, one in dallas and one in houston. In the past few months I've really racked up a bill going out of state for auditions, so i was wondering: to anyone whose already been to these accepted student days, does it look bad if you don't go all the way to new york?

because honestly, it would just be so much more convenient to go to the one in dallas...

i was also wondering, what exactly do they do on these days. i know they used to be called "saturdays in the square", are these new things the same thing? would i really miss a lot by not going all the way to nyc??

:)if you can help, THANKS! because if i do end up having to go to ny, i should probably get the tickets as soon as possible, lol :)

i’m from dallas too and I’m wondering the same thing. but i don’t think it would look bad if you don’t go…i mean you’re already in so it shouldn’t matter that much. save the money i say

I was also considering traveling all the way to New York, but going to the Dallas event seems a lot more convenient so that’s what I will most likely end up doing.

it doesn’t look bad at all. this is the whole reason why they have off campus locations for admitted students days, because people might have difficulty going or for convenience.

i didn’t even bother to go and i live in northern jersey. my brother was on the student panel for stern so he just filled me in.

thanks for the info sansri, dallas it is! :)and glad i could help you mrsmanager(:
