Off-Campus Orientation

Although I would really like to attend orientation on campus as I haven’t toured yet, I’m worried about the financial cost of flights and for overnight accommodations since I’ll be bringing a parent along. I’m currently saving my money for flights that I’ll need to take for the school year so I just don’t think it’s worth it to fly out mid-summer when I could be saving the money. Are the orientations that occur around the country (I’ll most likely attend the Chicago one) still a good experience and good method of scheduling for classes? I just don’t want to miss out on any essential information/experience that the on-campus might offer, but the cost just doesn’t seem worth it to me. :frowning:
