Offcampus Vs Oncampus

What is the cost for housing at unc?I mean, does each dorm cost the same?Which dorms are cheaper? Are there any websites where I can get this information?
I was looking at the off campus rental listing. Some apartments are really close to campus and the rent is like $350 per month per bedroom. Those apartments are fully furnished, with private bathroom, furnished living room, kitchen and what not!!I was thinking, whether living offcampus in apartment like that will be better than living on campus where I have a share a small room with somebody I don't even know.

digbaji: Here's a link that might provide some information about housing, including costs:
<a href="http://newstudents.unc.edu/content/view/55/85/%5B/url%5D">http://newstudents.unc.edu/content/view/55/85/</a></p>

While off-campus housing may end up being about the same cost as living on-campus, this link states that 85% of first year students live on-campus. I'm assuming you're an incoming freshman; if so, you might want to reconsider living off-campus your first year. I imagine that meeting other students and freshmen would be made more difficult, and you would also end up spending a lot of time on a bus, or--perhaps-- feeling like a commuter student. I really think, especially as a freshman, living on-campus would be preferable. Maybe current some students here will give some different advice, though.

Unless you already have a wide base of friends going to UNC, live on campus. It costs a little more but is worth it. You will make MANY good friends in the dorms, and they are much more social than an apartment.
