So I got a packet in the mail from Tech titled “Virginia Tech Financial Aid Notification”. Under “Grant and scholarships to pay for college” it says “Grants from your state…$3100”. Is this merit or need based? My family nets about $120k a year. Is this specific for Virginia Tech, or will it apply to all VA colleges? I just don’t understand what this money is. But I do like it!
