@tylerjohn … Hmmm…just checked our email and there was no date referenced :-S

tylerjohn and inspired59: what email are you referring to? (thanks!)

FlaMTD, in the email saying my S is on priority hold it says that we should hear no later than March 1st. But it seems that that isn’t the case anymore

My D hasn’t heard anything yet either. I’m guessing that we’re on a wait list of sorts, in which case no news is probably good news at this point. (If it’s a wait list then they won’t accept anyone else unless someone declines, and that’s not likely to happen until other schools send out their decisions later this month.)

Agreed. Probably won’t hear anything more until April?

^^What Odie34 said…

No one new on our end so good news for you still. I have to guess they are waiting for the outstanding offers to make a decision. No one new has been introduced to the TSU family. Hang in there!
Current Freshman parent

D got an official Wait List notification today.

@kategrizz did it come as an email or in the usps?

@kategrizz … were you waitlisted or put on a Priority Hold???

Came through Acceptd/ which forwarded to email. She WAS Priority Hold - and now is Waitlisted. I’m guessing if you are still on priority hold, you should hear something today or tomorrow.

Do you know what the difference being Priority Hold and Waitlisted?

I have a feeling that most (if not all) of us who haven’t heard will find ourselves on the official wait list before too long.

Someone mentioned earlier that Kaitlin expanded the class last year because there were a couple of people that she still wanted after the offers went out, so I suppose it’s possible that remaining on Priority Hold is better than being on the wait list. Still, I think any distinction is really splitting hairs here. The bigger question for me is how many people were taken off the wait list last year…

I agree with Odie34, I would love to know how many people were taken off the wait list so that people still on priority hold and those already wait listed know their chances.

Daughter also put on wait list today. Message from Acceptd via e-mail

It is interesting…my D auditioned the last day (Feb 16) and still has not heard an official “no”, “priority hold” or “wait list”…is there such a thing as limbo? :-/

@NAtlantaStudio … My S audtioned the last day also and we heard pretty much the same time everyone else did… maybe you should call or send them an email… I think you should of heard by now.

Also my S was changed today from Priority hold to waitlist… still not sure what this means… but the email was very nice and my S is still holding on to the hope he will be accepted… he loves the school and the staff :">

@NAtlantaStudio: Have you logged on to Acceptd? All of the Texas State emails we’ve received have originated there… Perhaps your email address is incorrect on Acceptd, or they forwarded an email that went into your junk folder. My D’s status still hasn’t changed to wait list, but we did get the Priority Hold email back in January.

Yes we have checked everything on Acceptd. When we got her call back the email went straight to her phone. We talked to her coach and he talked with Kaitlin this evening. We were told to be looking for her rejection letter. We had already expected it but it will be nice to have the door closed. This was not only her favorite school because of Kaitlin, Michael and Jim, but she has soooo many friends she adored there. It will take a few days to work through it but she will be good :)

Just got the ‘no’ from Kaitlin. Best of luck to all others!
