If anyone wants to ask me about what I put on my waitlist statement, feel free to ask here. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to send in an additional one now, as long as it is succinct and helpful for the adcomm.
@richardshaw what did you put on your WL statement? I want to send in another one but I’m not sure if what I have is sufficient… 
I managed to squeeze in some news about my chemistry paper being published in a scientific journal. I must say I was lucky because the timing was right.
If you really don’t have anything else to send it, I think it doesn’t hurt to send in one last short statement about why you wish to attend Columbia. Statements along the lines of “I love the Core Curriculum” are simply too broad and can apply to almost anyone. But if you really are interested in a particular course, professor or program, then don’t be afraid to say so! Detail is key here: nobody likes a general statement.
I think it’s also important to reaffirm to the committee that you would enroll without hesitation if offered a place. They want the assurance that you will attend if they open up a slot to you.

Would it be worth a shot to contact the track and field slash cross country coach Hahahaha I run but like I’m not fast enough to be recruited but apparently this one girl got in bc the coach got her in. She wasn’t that crazy fast but she was competitive. I cannnn be competitive

Out of curiosity, did any of you mention which school you were headed to in your supplement to Columbia? I myself am deposited at UChicago, and thought about mentioning it so I might seem like a more “enticing” student, but then decided against it.
I personally did not mention which school I deposited to.

It’s 3:25am and I can not sleep because I am just thinking about my decision. I have honestly lost all my hope after seeing that people have been accepted off the wait list. Does anyone else heard back yet?

@sanchezjanet98 I don’t think so. I was scrolling through this thread and saw a few comments about a second update, but the letter said the no later than May 2nd for the first update, so idk if they will look at the second one…
