So what did you think of it?

the english was easy, but the Math was long...couldnt finish like 5 problems. When i took it 2 years ago, i missed 2 questions, and got a 34. ..now i guessed on like, 4 problems.

reading, not enough time for me to do the hubble space telescope one, so i BSed through that

science---the crator problem was hard and confusing, BSed through thta tone, everything else was easy

writing was super easy

the math was kind of hard, but probably just because of the time constraints.

the essay was "fun" =)

and the proctor was annoying, what with coughing, laughing, and talking..oh yes..and she was "beeping"

hope i don't have to retake

I found the ACT to be more difficult than ever before on today. I did not finish anything but English (with 5 minutes left). I had to guess on about 10 Math (OMG), 8 Science, and I didnt even get to read the passage about the crator stuff so I guessed.. Oh well, so much for my last chance at raising my composite by two more points......

I also found this ACT harder then any standardized test I have taken before. English was extremely easy, but I almost ran out of time on the math (too much geometry on it!), some questions on Reading were hard/some were easy, and even though I usually do pretty good on the science, the meteor one was really confusing! The writing was a pretty easy prompt, but I don't think I wrote a very good essay, and 30 minutes is way too short to write an essay:(

yeah, i ran out of time on the math too! the writing was really easy.....i had to fill in random bubbles for the last 4 on math, which will probably kill my composite

yeah, i'm worried about my composite too because i filled in some random bubbles! (at least there's no guessing penalty) i also took the optional writing test, does anybody know if this affects the composite score?

no, it is listed as a separate score and has nothing to do with your composite

I completely agree with you all-the english was the only test that was easy. The math was terrible, and the science was worse. The reading was cool although I couldn't finish that one section about the hubble telecraft.

Btw--in the reading passage about ephani and elena, was the author criticizing elena for being a follower.

Yea I had about 4-5 math problems remaining that i guessed on and guessed on 2 others that would be time consuming.

what kinda math score will a -7 get /60.

Science was way hard! The meteor graph, got to there and 5 minutes was called along with 1 more passage left.

I guessed a lot of science but i liked the reading/writing that was a breeze.

Is the act curved?

the curve of the act pretty much stays the same. So a 63/70 will probably always get you a 27-29

its curved? crap, i thought they just took the percentage you got right and multiply by 36. like (63/70)*36. oh well, i like the act because the colleges can't tell how many times you took the test, so i think there is a little less pressure.
by the way i was also a little confused on the ephani and elena reading passage also.

i also had one more question. i didn't have my admissions ticket or social security number, so the social security part is blank, is this ok or shoud i call them?

You might get your test later then everybody else...
Are you a junior? If your as enior and are hoping for quicker results for scholarships or apps I would call and left them know.

i'm just a sophomore, but was just curious because this test seemed better for me then the sat. i still hope i don't have to wait any longer for my scores though:(

I think act is stricter.

Our proctor was the biggest ***** lady.
Some kid sneezed during the test and she kicked him out!!!!
Also she didnt think graphing calcs were approved, good think i brought my what to bring list to the class.

SHe also said after break if you didnt finish that the ones not bubbled in would not count against you..

What an idiot proctor

I found the language to be easy. Math wasn't to bad, but thought there was alot more geometry on it then usual. Reading, well yet again not nearly enough time. And science wasn't to bad; I felt it was alot better then the science portion I took in october. I didn't take the Writting portion, though I will need to... So how was it? What did you have to write about?

I messed up so bad on EVERYTHING basically.. The writiing was very simple and straightforward, but everything else was just plainly tough.. the enlglish was ALRIGHT, but the math was SUPER HARD HARD HARD. I didn't complete 6 questions and guessed all c's.. lol. The Reading.. was ALRIGHT.. but I DID NOT get to the Hubble passsage... :(.. Science.. that was just SOOO confusing.. I didn't get the DNA, crater OR the heat temperature theories.. Oh yeah, how do you read the DNA strand? From bottom up or up to bottom? I didn't read any of the intro passage or science.. I just went straight to the questions... I don't know whether I should cancel my scores.. R u guys cancelling it?

The topic was whether class discussions or individual projects is better in helping students better understand a concept .. something like that. Pick one side and write an essay supporting your side..
