Myoneandonly, can you offer any insight about the housing lottery or living off campus as a transfer? How was your son’s experience living off campus? Did he move to on campus after the first semester?

Hey guys, anyone who was accepted and is still waiting on housing shoot me an email at mdoyle9@nd.edu- I’m a current undergrad and could definitely help you out, I work for a company that still has a few places available for the Fall!

Son found out last July 18th that his housing lottery # wasn’t too good (high). He went on some accepted transfer student website and found 3 other guys and they lived in Irish Crossings on Willis Street the first semester. Quite the nice digs – each had their own bedroom/bathroom and it was only about a 15 min. walk to the Dome, less to the stadium. Although they all liked their accommodations (and I think wish they’d stayed!), they opted for on-campus living last semester. All decided to live in different dorms. Although my son likes living on-campus, I think he misses the freedom and amenities that came with the condo. He’s remaining on-campus this year, in a single, and is happy he’ll have a room to himself again. I think they’re planning on going back to IC next year for their senior year.

Hey guys, it says on the website that the housing assignment would not be made until the first week of August. Do you guys know when will be the exact day of the housing drawing?
