QUESTION...thanks

Thanks for the input SACHIT. Well, I guess that means that the section 3 (25 min) Math was experimental...anyone else want to take a guess at what the experimental was?

Yeah something about african roots in one of the passages I think. I'm kinda blanking though.

Anyway

MATH
*EDIT FOR CIRCLE IN SQUARE PROBLEM
For the problem with the circle between the squares, the answer has to be not only between [(root)2]/2 and 3/2 but also between 1 and [(root)(9/2)] in order to also not touch the corners of the inner square. This means that answer has to be between 1 and 3/2.

Ugh, I hate math. I got a 560 last time and it looks like I did even worse today. It was definitely a mistake to retake. Can anyone speculate which math was experimental? I want to the say the one with the concentric circles, but that's purely for my benefit.

i am fairly sure i had a math experimental but not in the order that any of you listed, i think i had

Does anyone know if the three small squares scrambled around the circle, with a radious of ROOT2 was experimental?

Merudh, I'm pretty sure you mean rad(2)/2<r<1.5, becuase there is no value of r that is greater than 1.5 and smaller than 0.707...I'm also pretty certain that you're wrong about rad(2)/2...

edit Never mind, you updated.

I think I did alright. My essay was pretty brutal compared to last time, in March, when my topic was a nice one. But - what about the "do not discuss essay topic until your score comes out" and stuff? They said that for Oct, too, for the first time I believe, so why are we still discussing on CC?

are you sure that one wasn't experimental? it had the hardest math problems but the other threads dont discuss the ones in this section but instead talk about much easier ones.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? I don't remember what exactly the problem was, and there are contradictory posts in this thread, so someone let me know, please :-P

smallest number which has 6, 8, 9 as factors = 72

(Sorry, this is the only one I can remember right now)

THE BOX PROBLEM... OMG... is it confirmed that the answer is A? I put D.

As for the box problem, I stared at it for a good 5 minutes. I hate those type of problems, since I have no imagination...at all. I finally put A, though.

I put 72 as well although apparantly it was asking for something over 999 (maybe that was another question, which would be a relief). Also, I put began too since I thought it should be begun but it was mostly a guess. I don't remember no error but I remember getting like four D's in a row for the first few on the last writing section (10).

Edit: I put D as well, although I must have spent like 5 minutes on it. I eliminated A finally because the dot or something was on the wrong side.

thanks for sticking to the guidelines (sarcasm)

anyway well YES it has been confirmed A is the answer...and 1.01 is acceptable the answer must be between 1 and 1.5. Please do not reiterate this question again and

well the 6,8,9 problem asked for the lowest number greater than 999 that has 6,8,9 as factors. I put 1080....anyone can think of a lower number?
