Yea. I thought it was a "wordchoice" mistake. Somewhere in there was another one of those: "Obtain"...or something, in the last part of the "ID Sentence Errors". Any1 remember?

Nope "secure civil rights" is fine.

By 1962, the goals of the original march on Washington movement, jobs and freedom, had still not been realized. The turmoil of the South, the high levels of unemployment and the absence of franchisement for many blacks, prompted Randolph to call for a new march "for jobs and freedom." Working with Bayard Rustin and other civil rights activists--from the NAACP, the National Urban League, the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the National Catholic Conference for Interracial Justice, the National Council of Churches, the United Auto Workers (UAW), and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) --Randolph pursued plans for a new march. The proposed march caused great concern within the Kennedy administration. Kennedy believed that the march had the potential to undermine efforts being made to secure civil rights legislation and would damage the image of the United States internationally. He also believed that it might further aggravate racial tensions in America. Kennedy called Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights leaders to the White House in late June 1962 but was unable to persuade the leadership to cancel the march.

I used a personal example, sort of... My entire essay was about how science affects the aesthetics of music. I talked about the different timbres and tones of woods, string material (nylon or steel), string lengths, etc, and then I talked about the recording process. I'm an excellent writer and I used every single line. Do you think its feasible to get a 12? I got a 10 last time and I thought my essay sucked...

Anyone remember the question about some busy athlete and how some activity did not make him tired, but that it made people half as busy as him tired? I put the answer as "half"

This was my first time taking the SAT II writing... but I prepared for it so yeah...
About the curve, how many is it usually? Does it differ A LOT from test to test or is it pretty much the same?? In my prep book the curve is 10 points (composite raw score that is). I wanna know if you guys know.

jmoayyad-

I think that "half as" was fine and that there was a misplaced modifier somewhere. I'm not sure though.

What is MC?

And...I guess I wasn't as original and creative as I thought because I also used Fibonacci sequences as one of my illustrations for the essay.

Yeah, half was fine. I forget what was the right answer though.

I used da vinci, fibonacci sequence, architecture with golden ratio, and paintings depicting various eras in history (trains and factories with large smoke plumes for industrial era - showed advanced technology (science) for the era)

Oh yeah... and for the prompt, I argued against it, talking about architecture and jobs (graphic design) require both knowledge of science and art... I think these were great examples.

I'm kind of a slow writer so I didn't write too much. My conclusion ended on the first line of the 2nd page. Maybe I write small but I'm kind of worried about this. Has anyone ever gotten like a 10+ with just the first side completely filled? It's more about content than length right? :(

For the half as tired one, it was D, becuase they used "it" to describe "responsibilities" so it was a singular/plural thing.

Does anyone remember the question with the "in an attempt to", is that part right? Or does it have to be "attempting to"??

i think i just left that one the way it was.

okay good, and since you guys were talking about the secure civil rights one, what was the answer to that again?

The essay isn't that bad. Just write about how Michelangelo and other Ren. artists produced sculptures that were humanly proportional, etc.

leely i think the civil rights one was E for No Error.

What about the one with the liar? something like : a liar's memories get meesed up so he cant lie successfully. Was it No Error or error in "had become"?
and btw how many can u get wrong and still get 800?

i said it was "had become" because it should read "becomes".. . I don't know!

i would also like to know the answer to the liar question

lol barron's is so messed up ill never study from that book again

Man, I F-ucked Up
