Offical SAT Study Guide

Do you suggest the Offical SAT Study Guide over other SAT prep books?
I'm taking the SAT in October and debating if I should purchase a prep book.
What SAT prep books do you suggest?

Official guide.

I was just leaning on that, until I did further research and found out the offical study guide doesn’t really explain why one is answer correct/ wrong.

Keep doing research.

Actually found this comment more so to be rude, this type of online behavior is not welcome under my thread.

Any more answers?

I find that Gruber’s complete Guide to the SAT is also great. I would use that more for the review sections as well as the stratagies. Then practice using the Official Guide.
Hope this was helpful.

He’s justifiably rude. There’s an entire forum devoted to this. the same question has been asked at least five times.

Thanks

I’ve read about Gruber’s but it seem like more students think it’s math orientated.

Gruber’s is great for math. I found Rocket Review great for CR and Writing. The Official Study Guide has the required practice tests to take and overall, it is a must-read as well to supplement the strategies learned from Gruber’s and RR.

I’ve notice a thread that have many links which can help answer my question:

I’ll just use this source, thanks for the answers.

Thought I would note that there is a new Offical SAT Study Guide with answer explanations:
The Official SAT Study Guide 2nd Ed

I’ll try to purchase this.

no, it also doesn’t have explanations.
